Since 2008, Francis has been doing business development, preparation of research proposal (Genome Canada, MESI-FACS, NSERC, CIHR, CFI and venture capital investment) and project management for many research groups. From 2002 to 2007, Francis was director of business development for Modellium, a software company specializing in logistics optimization and municipal assessment. In 2000 and 2001, he was marketing director for a start-up in optical telecommunications.

 

Francis was VP Business Development for Biozymes, a manufacturer of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical ingredients from 1994 to 1999. Francis holds an MBA in international management from Université Laval and a PMP certification from PMI.
